Happy Fall (Again)!

I just had to share a few photos today. I have been looking outside for the past few weeks, enjoying all of the fall colors. I just happened to remember to take my camera out so that I could snap a few pix of the colorful trees in our yard. The drive up to our house has been so beautiful that I smile every time I make my way up the road. I love it when you are driving underneath the trees and the leaves are falling all around you.

I also wanted to share Adam's Halloween pumpkin. He carves his own pumpkin each year. This was the pumpkin he found at the pumpkin patch. He starts by making pumpkin face sketches on paper and then decides which one he wants to use. His pumpkin turned out really cute. We lit it up for our trick-o-treaters.

I have to say that this was my favorite Halloween so far. We had our first trick-o-treaters this year. I sent the boys out so that Adam could get his own candy and I stayed behind to pass candy out. It was so much fun. We had around 20 little ghosties come to our door. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I have been deprived for the past 12 years.

Anyway, now it is time to look forward to Thanksgiving (one of my favorite holidays). We've already seen a Christmas tree and wreath up at someone's home. I think that is jumping the gun a little bit. I like to savor the holidays and try not to rush them. I'm already starting to think of pumpkin and pecan pie, turkey, and all of the yummy candle smells that this holiday has to offer. I hope that each one of you enjoys the season. Take time to slow down and remember that no matter our circumstances we always have things to be thankful for.

Till next time...
