The Pumpkin Patch

Each fall we have a family tradition of going to the pumpkin patch. This year was a little different because we chose a different patch to go to. Since we moved we needed to find a patch that was closer to us. We found one and it turned out to be so nice. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It was warm but there was a nice breeze blowing all day.

We started by taking a hay ride to the pumpkin patch.
We were there for a while trying to pick the perfect pumpkin. I think Adam found at least 6 perfect pumpkins. He finally settled on one. Our rule is that he can only pick a pumpkin that he can carry. Most of the time he pawns his pumpkin off on someone else but this year he handled it on his own. I must say that we picked some beautiful pumpkins.

Next we looked around the farm. There was a petting zoo, minature horse-drawn carriage rides, food, and
different vendors. I ended up standing in the kettle corn line for quite awhile. But the wait was worth it. There is nothing like old-fashioned kettle corn that came right out of the kettle. While I was waiting, Clif and Adam sat on some tractors, jumped on hay bales, and apparently enjoyed some cupcakes without me :) I think Adam also tried "milking" a fake cow that the farm had set up.

Once we had our kettle corn we took off through the corn maze. It was a lot of fun and we didn't get too lost. We missed a few turns, but we had fun. Over all the day was so much fun. The weather cooperated and the farm was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to go next year! We hope you all are enjoying fall as much as we are. Till next time...

Why did you not eat a cupcake? Are you guys making cider this year? We always talk about how much fun that was. I can not believe how big Adam is.....it makes me feel old! Kettle corn is for sure a fave of mine too. Happy Fall~
